Charity Art Auction in Saigon: How a Summer of Painting Raised Money for Blue Dragon Children's Foundation
Charity Art Auction
On August 22, 2026, Blank Space Studio hosted its first Summer Art Gallery & Charity Art Auction at Club Rivage in An Khánh, Thủ Đức. Guests bid on artwork made by kids and adults across nine weeks of summer camp, and 100% of proceeds went to Blue Dragon Children's Foundation, a Vietnam-based nonprofit that has worked to end child exploitation and poverty for over 20 years.
The event brought together families, teams, and individuals from across the Thảo Điền and wider Saigon community, and marked the start of what Blank Space plans to make a recurring tradition.
What happened at the event
The gallery displayed nine collective canvases, one from every week of Blank Space's 2026 Summer Art Camp, alongside individual pieces made by campers and guests throughout the season. From 4 to 6pm, attendees walked the gallery, bid in a silent auction, and took part in a live auction for a small number of standout pieces.
Blue Dragon Children's Foundation sent representatives to the event, and Club Rivage, Blank Space's venue partner for the evening, hosted the gallery and offered guests 10% off dining for the occasion.
Every dong raised went directly to Blue Dragon. No portion was retained by the studio.
Why Blue Dragon Children's Foundation
Blue Dragon has worked in Vietnam for more than two decades, focused on rescuing children from exploitation and trafficking, and helping vulnerable kids stay in school and out of poverty. For a studio that spends its days making art with children, partnering with an organization protecting children felt like an obvious fit.
Blank Space is still a young name in Thảo Điền and Saigon more broadly. In under a year, the studio has welcomed families, corporate teams, and individual guests from across the city. Hosting an event like this was a way to give something back to the community that has shown up for the studio all summer.
What the summer camp artwork represented
The nine canvases on display each came from a different week of Summer Art Camp, running from June 15 to August 15, 2026. Each week paired an individual project with a collective canvas, so the gallery wall told the story of nine weeks of kids experimenting with color, texture, and technique side by side.
Guests who had watched their own children paint over the summer got to see the full collection together for the first time, and bid to bring a piece home while supporting a cause bigger than the studio itself.
What's next
Given the turnout and the funds raised, Blank Space plans to host quarterly art auctions going forward, each one benefiting a different local nonprofit aligned with creativity and children's wellbeing. Families and guests interested in future auctions, or in booking a paint pouring session, camp, or private event, can reach the team directly.
